PREPARE:

Cut slightly soft, ripe avocado lengthwise around the seed, then twist to open into two halves. Cut the halves in half, scoop out the seed, and peel the skin off.

WAYS TO EAT:

  • Eat avocado plain:
    • Cut in half, leave skin on serve with a spoon.
    • A great snack for toddlers and kids, no serving dish required!
  • Cut into chunks and add to salads, pastas, soups, and scrambled eggs.
  • Slice thin and add to sandwiches, wraps, and grilled cheese.
  • Mash and spread on toast with olive oil and sea salt.
  • Mash and stir to make guacamole:
    • Add a squeeze of lime juice, minced garlic, sea salt and black pepper.

ADD SOME FUN!

Call them alligator pears, alligator eggs or avocado bowls! Plant or sprout the avocado seed and watch it grow!
